Lake Improvement Board of Bear Lake
June 21 , 2009
The meeting of the Lake Improvement Board for Bear Lake was held at the Bear Lake
Township Hall, on the 19 th day of June, 2009. The meeting was called to order by chairman, Don Brisbin, at 7:00 p m.
Present:: Don Brisbin, chairman, Bob Yates, Secretary, Carver Edwards, Treasurer, Mark DiBenedetto, Drain Commissioner, Ken Hilliard, Board of Commissioners, and Bryan Harris, Pleasanton Twp. rep., along with Board guest Jennifer Jermalowicz-Jones, Lakeshore Environment rep.
Also present were guests.
Approval of minutes:
It was moved by Caver Edwards and supported by Mark DiBenedetto, to approve the minutes of the Lake Improvement Board meeting held May 21, 2009.
The motion was carried unanimously.
Treasurers Report:
There was no report.
Other Business:
Jennifer Jermalowicz-Jones (accompanied by board member Mark D.) provided her findings from the Grid Matrix performed on Bear Lake-it was determined that only 8 acres appear for additional treatment-it should also be noted that the Grid Matrix was expanded to 550 matrix points from 486. Also there appears to be no other invasive species in Bear Lake at this time.
It was brought to our attention that if an adjustment in the assessment is to take place it must be submitted prior to September 1, 2009.
Year long schedule of the Lake Improvement Board of Bear Lake meetings are to be posted at the Bear Lake and Pleasanton Township Halls.
Public Comment:
Discussion regarding the marine work being done at the Village site-it was suggested that someone monitor contractor to confirm equipment was properly cleansed.
There being no additional business. it was moved and supported unanimously that the Improvement Board of Bear Lake meeting be adjourned.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p m.
Next meeting is July 23, 2009.
