REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING
June 16, 2010
The Regular Meeting of the Bear Lake Village Council was called to order by President Glen Moore at 7:30 p.m. at the Bear Lake Village Hall.
Council Present: Carver Edwards, Howard Higley, Alice Howe, Don Hyrns, Jim Mlejnek, Glen Moore, Michelle Mortenson, Ron Ronning and George Schafer.
Absent: Larry Mortenson and Donna Ronning
Guests: Jim Eaton
Minutes: The May minutes were approved as presented.
Treasurer's Report: Motion by Ron seconded by George to accept the Treasurer's Report as read. Motion carried.

Motion by Ron seconded by Don to transfer $40,000 from Huntington bank to Honor State Bank. $20,000 to the Water Fund and $20,000 to Major Street fund. Motion carried.
Motion by Carver seconded by George to pay bills as presented. Motion carried.
Motion by Resolution by Ron seconded by Carver to transfer $6,812.00 from the General Fund to the Major Street for excessive administrative services claimed. Motion carried.
Motion by George seconded by Don to approve quote for the removal of two trees and stumps by Thompson Tree Service in the amount of $1,900.00. Motion carried.
Motion by George seconded by Ron to award bid for inspection and rehabilitation to Village wells to Raymer for the amount of $17,400. If additional mechanical cleaning is needed, an explanation must be received in writing before they can continue on with the next phase of cleaning at the cost of $10,000. Motion carried.
Motion by Ron seconded by George to purchase 24 - 3x5" polyester flags. Motion carried.
Discussions Held On: - The bond loan for the Village water project is progressing with a target date to borrow the money from Honor State Bank as August 1st, 2010. - The dock upgrade project is now up for bids. The bid opening will be held on July 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Village Hall. - The watermain project is now up for bids. The bid opening will be held on July 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the Village Hall. - Council received the permit to close U.S. 31 for the Bear Lake Days Parade.
